Zeb1 gene knockout mice (deltaEF1 deltaC727). Exon 6 of the Zeb1 was replaced with a neo cassette. In the genetic background of inbred mouse strains, homozygous mutant mice die after birth. While about 20-30% of homozygous mice survive to adulthood in the mixed genetic background.

Developed by Yujiro Higashi, Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology, Osaka University. E14 ES cells were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6 over 11 times.
Zeb1遺伝子のノックアウトマウス (Zfhx1a deltaC727ノックアウトマウス) 。近交系背景の場合、ホモマウスは出生後、胚呼吸に至らず致死となる。ICR 系統や、B6C3F1 等の交雑型の background では、20~30 % のホモ変異個体が生存する。
